Cavebaby's homework - the results!

Firstly hope you all had a super luverly Chinese New Year and welcome back to the real (well, nearly real) world of Goatville.

Thanks to Grandma and all the Aunties and Uncles who answered Flat Cavebaby's call. Cavebaby's homework was for International Week at school, and she had to collect some pictures and information from other countries. The gloating (kiasu) parents breathed a sigh of relief after all the homework bits went in - Cavebaby had the mostest in terms of pictures, information, number of countries and sheer volume of paper....... good or bad?

Here is a selection of her favourites (some of them even made it to the homework board at school!). Left top: Mama & Princess Rainbow in Alor Star; Left bottom: Trinity College, Dublin; Middle top: Aunty Rima at the North Pole; Middle: Aunty Sophie & Uncle Nick, Sydney Opera House; Middle bottom: Waratah, national flower of NSW and maybe even Australia (ask Aunty Sophie, cos i sure don't know); Right top: Daniel and a snowdrift in Ontario, CA; Right middle: Daniel & Lily in pumpkin patch, somewhere in CA; Right bottom: Ethan's commandos somewhere in S. California.

Can you spot Flat Cavebaby?

Have a great weekend!

Please help Flat Cavebaby with her homework

Dear Aunties, Uncles and friends,

Yesterday my teacher sat on me and now I am as flat as a pancake.
At school we are learning about the world. Please can you send me some information about the place you live in? You could also take a picture of where you are with my flat-as-a-pancake picture. If you post it on your blog or forum, or email it to my Cavemama, I can use it as part of my homework next week.
Thank you very much.

Updated on 21 January 2009:
Thank you to Grandma, Auntie Amelia + Princess Rainbow + Uncle Rainbow, Aunty Monay + Ethan + Eugene, Auntie Rima, Auntie Sophie, Auntie Lilian and Auntie Karen + Daniel + Lily - I am sure my class will be very interested to read about rubber + oil palm, Alor Star, Southern California, the North Pole, New South Wales (Ozland), Dublin and Ontario, Canada. I really appreciate your help.
Hopefully I will get my Mama to place a resume of all the luverly places you've told me about on the blog soon (HINT! HINT! to my Mama)

Never too early........

I just had to laugh at these 7 & 6 yr old German kids who professed to be deeply in love and wanted to get married. They were trying to elope to Africa (it's warmer there...) on New year's Day and even tried to bring along a witness (a 5 yr old sister). They had packed their swimsuits, sunglasses and a lilo, ahhh, how sweet.

Apparently the 3 kids walked 1km to the local tram station and got to the main train station at a nearby city so they could get to the airport. One of the train guards got suspicious and called the cops on them. The kids had no tickets and money, dang it, but the police gave them a free tour of the police station (should maybe have kept the cheeky monkeys in the cells a bit longer, eh?). The parents arrived to pick them up later. Wonder how mortified and embarrassed they were?

In future years, will these kids recall and laugh about their escapade, or will their parents nag them so much about it they'll be put off for life? Will they ever get married to each other? Will they ever make it to Africa?

Answers on a postcard :D

New Year bits and bobs

Holidays are at an end... back to the grindstone tomorrow and Cavebaby goes back to school Tuesday.

We have had a rather busy time and it doesn't seem like I've had a very restful break. However, Capt Caveman did mention (again) that i'm much more pleasant when i haven't been at work. OK larrrr..... so Papa, u just need to earn much much more money so I can give up work while you keep me in the manner to which I have become accustomed :D otherwise you'll have to put up & shut up about the GRRRR AAARRRGGGHHHH when I've been at work.

Cavebaby's plaster comes off in 10 days' time - can't wait! She said she'd dreamt that her arm had gotten really really thin inside the plaster.Hmmmmm, the little monkey's cheekiness quotient doesn't seem to have been reduced so far. She got a pink ukulele as a Christmas present from Grandma and Grandpa and I've seen her a few times now wearing her shades and playing it while looking at herself in the mirror...... move over Hannah Montana, here comes Cheeky Cavebaby!

You know the drill.... Lunar New Year next - Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous year!
